Yeast Experiment

On Tuesday we did a Science Experiment all about Yeast.

We are learning about Yeast and how it is alive and makes bread rise.

In one bottle we put warm water and a balloon over the top.  In the other bottle we put warm water, yeast and sugar. 

We noticed that the bottle with the yeast started to stretch and inflate the balloon.  The yeast mixture started to rise up the bottle (one bottle even overflowed with yeast mixture when we took the balloon off.  We saw the yeast breathing.
